March is quickly approaching and we will be celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss as we kick off the new month! We have many exciting activities planned for the children. Starting last week, we have been reading a Dr. Seuss book a day. We will continue this for several weeks. Toward the middle to the end of the month, we will invite the students to read us a Dr. Seuss book. You can start practicing now! (First graders are required to do this, Kindergartens are welcome to, but do not have to.)
Below is a brief outline of the first week of March.
Monday - Dress like your favorite Dr. Seuss character
Wednesday - Wacky Wednesday! (You decide how wacky to be!)
Friday - Green Eggs and Ham for snack
We will be decorating our hallway, working on special writing projects, and having lots of Seussical Fun! Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like to come in and Guest Read a Dr. Seuss book to us! We usually do these readings at the end of the day, right before dismissal.
Let's hope the weather in March is kinder to us than February has been! I know we can all use some routine in our day!
