However, verbal conversation is a crucial element in early reading. Starting a conversation that will last more than one sentence may seem tough, but it is necessary. Not only will it build early reading skills, it will also build a strong bond that will last a life time!
So, to aid you in this endeavor, I will provide you will open ended starter questions for each day of the week. I will post these on the homework sheet and also here on the website. Please use them. As your child answers, engage them further with more open ended questions.
Maybe make a tradition out of an afternoon snack and a conversation about school. They will love it and look forward to it each day!
